Bradley Walsh shocked The Chase fans by proposing to retire in a few years.
The host and actor, 61, has a huge following as the host of the ITV quiz show he juggles on television shows like the upcoming reboot of Darlings Buds Of May.
But he’s now hinted that in the not-too-distant future he can envision retiring his showbiz career.
Commenting on his busy career, Walsh said on the Sliding Doors podcast, “You know what, in a few years I won’t have to do any of this, I’ll retire and that’s it.”

Walsh – who has been with The Chase since 2009 – also talked about how he manages to fit so much into his schedule.
He said, “It seems like I’m on your screen all the time just because I’ve crammed everything in a certain area of the year. So we do 210 chases a year, 16 celebrity chases, 16 beat the chasers …

He continued, “I don’t really have any free time. I have meetings, I have personal appearances that I have to do and stuff like that with other things that I have going on, so it’s pretty difficult to juggle with that. “
“You know what, in a couple of years I won’t have to do any of this, I’ll retire and that’s it,” he added.
Fans weren’t happy when they heard Walsh’s comments.
