Manny Pacquiao declares retirement plan after illustrious profession
Manny Pacquiao will announce his retirement plans at the same time he is confirmed to return to the ring.
The eight-division world champion hasn’t fought since turning out Keith Thurman almost two years ago.
He saw a fight with UFC star Conor McGregor after the Irishman was knocked out by Dustin Poirier in January.
Negotiations with world champion Terence Crawford also remained unsuccessful after Crawford’s promoter failed to receive funding from the Middle East.
Pacquiao’s most likely opponent is Mikey Garcia, whom he was supposed to fight last summer before the coronavirus crisis broke out.
And the 42-year-old said: “The negotiations are ongoing. I will not go into details so that there are no problems.”

When asked about his retirement, Pacquiao added: “We will not answer that for the time being as this is part of the negotiations. That will be included in the announcement.”
Pacquiao was named “on break” world champion by the WBA earlier this year because of his inactivity.
In his place, Yordenis Ugas was promoted to welterweight world champion, although no fight was planned.
Pacquiao rolled back the years with his win over Thurman in which he dropped his younger opponent in the first round.
Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather has shown that Pacquiao was the best opponent of his 50-man professional career.
The rivals finally met in 2015 after years of negotiations with Mayweather that conveniently placed the Filipino in the spotlight.
“The best fighter I’ve ever fought was probably Manny Pacquiao,” Mayweather said.
“It’s because of his movement. He’s a damn good fighter and I can see why he won so many fights and I can see why he goes down as a Hall of Famer. There are only certain movements that he makes. “
Of his toughest fight, Mayweather added, “The toughest fighter was probably a guy named Emmanuel Augustus.
“Miguel Cotto was very, very, physically strong. You have different fighters; different days you feel different. Some days you can go there and you may not feel that good, but you go there and look great.”
