As a senior executive, you will use your extensive leadership and communication skills, ethics expertise and knowledge of health policy to negotiate with stakeholders and partners at all levels. We expect you to promote the VHA’s key initiatives to a wide range of individuals and groups, including members of Congress, veterinary service organizations, other government agencies, and the private sector.
They also oversee VHA leadership in Washington and on-site to ensure that VHA operations are conducted in accordance with VA guidelines and the VA secretary’s vision.
The ideal candidate is a senior physician experienced in overseeing corporate initiatives, operating large budgets, managing a large and diverse workforce, and providing strategic guidance and guidelines.
