First take a look at luxurious properties in Heaton Mersey revealed
Work on a new age community in Heaton Mersey is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
Construction began last fall at The Woodlands, a brand new Adlington Retirement Living development on Woodlands Road in Heaton Mersey.
Last month, Ken Clarke and David Blunkett wrote an open letter to Boris Johnson asking him to set up a task force to build more specialized age communities so retirees can stay independent within their own four walls.
The new Heaton Mersey development is a perfect example of such a community. It offers 63 stylish one, two or three bedroom senior citizens’ apartments for over 55 year olds in a safe environment with the benefits of terraces or walk-in balconies for most apartments.
This week, Adlington Retirement Living released new pictures showing what the exterior of the old-fashioned apartments should look like.
Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director of Adlington Retirement Living, said, “Our award-winning approach to independent living ensures homeowners do not have to compromise on their lifestyle, social life or independence. We want to create a community spirit and at the same time promote independence and individual respect. It’s a chance to become part of a thriving community of like-minded people with a common perspective. “
Four of Adlington’s locations were honored with gold, silver and bronze awards for the best retirement planning in the WhatHouse. Awards, the most prestigious British housing event. The Folds in Romiley and the Bridges in Macclesfield received the Silver Award in 2020 and 2019, the Adlington House in Otley with the Gold Award in 2017 and the Adlington House in Portishead with the Bronze Award in 2015.
Forests of Heaton Mersey provide the best of both worlds. Homeowners can enjoy the privacy of their own quiet and spacious apartment, spend time in the leafy gardens (which are tended by an experienced team of gardeners), relax in the hair salon, therapy suite or homeowner’s lounge and enjoy the table restaurant.
Alexandra Johnson adds, “One of the main benefits of retiring is that you no longer have to worry about the house and garden. It’s nice to hear how many of our homeowners comment on our other developments about the free time and energy they have to enjoy life. They often notice how much more time they have for me without having to worry about repairs, DIY, or mowing. “
One of the aspects that appeals to many homeowners is the bespoke personal care packages that can be tailored to the needs of the individual. Whether short-term support after an operation or more regular, long-term personal care – the team works closely with its local care partner to ensure a flexible solution for each individual.
Alexandra Johnson explains, “More and more of our homeowners are choosing to move into retirement communities while they are fit and healthy in order to future proof their retirement. We offer a personalized approach to caring to ensure that each individual receives exactly the right amount to maintain their independence and enjoy their retirement to the full.
“Even though many of our homeowners do not need special care, the Adlington team is always behind the scenes, giving them and their families the comfort that help is immediately available in the event of an unexpected fall.”
Every apartment at The Woodlands in Heaton Mersey has been designed to make everyday life easier, safer and more comfortable. Every detail has been considered, from natural light and the user-friendly layout to the spacious storage cabinets and private patios or balconies.
