Work on a new housing estate in Sheffield is expected to be completed in December.

Construction began in January 2019 on Jacobs Gate, a brand new Adlington Retirement Living project at the eastern foot of the Peak District on Troutbeck Road in the Millhouses suburb of Sheffield.

The new development offers 65 senior, two- and three-room apartments for people over 65 in a safe environment with terraces or walk-in balconies for all apartments.

This week Adlington Retirement Living released new images showing what the age-old exclusive apartments are likely to look like.

Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said, “We are now inviting potential visitors to pre-book appointments for private tours of our show apartments.

“We want to create a community spirit and at the same time promote independence and individual respect. It’s a chance to become part of a thriving community of like-minded people with a common perspective. “

Jacobs Gate offers Sheffield residents the best of both worlds. Homeowners can enjoy the privacy of their own quiet and spacious apartment, spend time in the leafy gardens (which are tended by an experienced team of gardeners), relax in the hair salon, therapy suite or homeowner’s lounge, and enjoy the table restaurant without this to do think about cooking or washing up.

Alexandra Johnson adds, “One of the main benefits of retirement living is that you no longer have to worry about the house and garden. It’s nice to hear how many of our homeowners comment on our other developments about the free time and energy they have to enjoy life. They often notice how much more time they can spend for me without having to worry about repairs, DIY, or mowing. “

One of the things that appeals to many homeowners is that the Adlington Retirement Living team can help create bespoke personal care packages that are tailored to the needs of each individual. Be it short-term support after an operation or more regular, long-term personal care, they work closely with your local care partner to ensure a flexible solution for each individual.

Alexandra Johnson explains, “More and more of our homeowners are moving into the retirement community while they are fit and healthy to future proof their retirement. We offer a personalized approach to caring to ensure that each individual receives exactly the right amount to maintain their independence and enjoy their retirement to the full.

“Even though many of our homeowners don’t need special care, the Adlington team is always behind the scenes, giving them and their families the comfort that help is available immediately in the event of an unexpected fall.”
