A third of Americans now say they will retire later due to COVID-19 …
According to a study by Age Wave and Edward Jones, the pandemic has had a negative impact on Americans’ confidence about meeting their previous retirement dates.
Many Americans say the pandemic was a financial wake-up call that caused them to rethink their plans, and women and early retirees are feeling the most negative effects.
The new numbers come from follow-up surveys conducted between May 2020 and March 2021. About 69 million Americans responded that COVID caused them to change the time of their retirement.
