Law360 (July 16, 2021, 7:05 p.m. EDT) – The city of Seattle has asked the Ninth District to approve a business advocacy organization request following an en banc trial in the group’s unsuccessful challenge to a city law expanding the city Hotel workers refuse access to health care, arguing that this decision is not worth a second look.

In its Thursday response letter, the city dismissed the ERISA Industry Committee’s motion for a replay of the court’s March ruling that the Employee Retirement Income Security Act did not anticipate Seattle’s ordinance, and disagreed with the ERIC’s allegation that that ruling was on the level increased was of national importance.
